Dolapo Badmus gets promoted to Zonal PPRO incharge of Lagos and Ogun State

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 AIG C. K. Aderanti has appointed former Lagos state police PRO SP Dolapo Badmos as the zonal police PRO for Zone 2.

Her appointment which takes effect from March 10, 2017 will see her supervise the Public relations department of both Lagos and Ogun state police commands.

Chocolate City President, Audu Maikori has been re-arested

Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori has been re-arrested barely 22 days after his first arrest on February 17, 2017 on charges relating to comments he made about the Southern Kaduna killings.

His rearrest comes two days after he collapsed at an event in Lagos and was subsequently rushed to ST Nicholas hospital. Details of his re-arrest remains sketchy but those close to him say he's been whisked off to Kaduna State.

Pope Francis says church may consider ordaining married men priests

Pope Francis has said that the church may consider ordaining married men who could potentially then work in remote areas facing a shortage of priests.

'We must think about whether viri probati are a possibility,” Francis said in an interview published on Thursday. He was referring to older, married men who are already involved in church business.

The President who arrived Nigeria from London today, has asked Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to continue piloting the affairs of the nation as he needs more time to rest. He said this when he met with Osinbajo, his cabinet members and some governors at the state house this morning.

He also asked that no one should send any delegation to greet him in the state house. President Buhari also hinted that he might be back to the UK in a few weeks time for a follow up on his medicals.

He was a military Governor of the Mid-West State, later renamed Bendel State, part of which became Edo State. He was in office from 1967 - 1975. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
