Photo: Man commits suicide hours after attending a church programme in Delta

35-year-old Martins Ogun from Ebonyi state, committed suicide in his apartment at Sir Najo Oburoh Estate on Palmer Road by Itsekiri Road in Sapele, Delta state yesterday September 23rd. According to reports, he attended a three days programme at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church which ended September 22nd. Former first lady of Akwa Ibom state, Imo Isemin is dead

The wife of the first civilian governor of Akwa Ibom State, Akpan Isemin, Mrs Imo Isemin has died. According to her family members, the former first lady took ill on Tuesday September 19th and was taken to a private hospital in the state where she died from an undisclosed ailment.

Her husband, Mr. Isemin died in 2009, 16 years after leaving office as governor due to the military coup in Nigeria that brought General Sani Abacha, into power. Until her death, Mrs. Isemin was a successful entrepreneur and a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the state.
