Housekeeper drowns in a well in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command on Sunday launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the drowning of one Justus Oruka in a well in Enugu. A statement by the command’s spokesman, SP Ebere Amaraizu, issued in Enugu, said that the incident occured at 10 a.m. on Sept. 21

Amaraizu said that the Homicide and Criminal Investigation Departments were doing everything they could to unravel the cause of the incident.

Hundreds stripped off to skinny dip in the freezing North Sea for a chilly swim. The North East Skinny Dip celebrates the first official day of autumn, also know as the autumn equinox, as well as raising money for charity .

Fearless participants raised money for mental health charity Mind by charging into the water at Druridge Bay Beach in Nothumberland. The annual event, which is now in it's fifth year, takes place at sunrise on the Sunday after the autumn equinox, which occurred last Thursday.

Bauchi state governor, Mohammed A. Abubakar, is bereaved at the moment as he lost his 4-year-old grandchild, Karimullah, today September 24th. According to reports, the boy who was the 5th grandchild of the governor, died in the early hours of today after a brief illness. Karimullah was the son of Alh. Sadik (Abubakar) M.A. Abubakar the first male child of the Governor.

The Nasarawa State Police Command arrested 20-year-old housewife Aisha Isah for allegedly killing her two stepdaughters, Zainab 4, and Ramatu, 2, over a disagreement with their mother in Yelwabassa village in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

She had bound the children's hands and feet, and thrown them into a well where they drowned. Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Kura, who confirmed the incident said that trouble began six years ago when the suspect got married to Alhaji Isa. It was not long before she began to quarrel with the mother of the two girls.

There's a viral video on social media allegedly showing a middle aged man driving a Mercedes-Benz come out of his car, remove his clothes and ran mad for almost 30 minutes.

Eye witness then says he quickly covered his nakedness after about 30 minutes and was reportedly later taken away by his friends in Lekki, Lagos who had brought him some clothes to put on.
