Goodluck Jonathan campaign organization still owes me N24 million - Printer says

The Managing Director of Paste Poster Company Limited, Mr. Olusegun Idowu, says his company is still being owed N24 million for the printing of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign posters for the 2015 presidential election.

According to Mr. Idowu, the N24 million was part of a total of N54 million poster pasting and consultancy jobs that his company did for the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organization in the build-up to the last general elections.

Little boy set ablaze over missing phone in Enugu

A little boy identified as Junior Onah, is currently lying critically ill in a hospital after he was set ablaze by his friend, Wisdom Kelechi, over a missing phone in Enugu on Monday, September 25th.

According to the Guardian, Wisdom had gone to a barbing salon at Ifoh file in Abakpa Nike in the state to charge his phone and left it in the care of Junior who he expected to help him watch over it. Ho, ever when he came back to take his phone, he found out that the phone had been stolen.

Thailand's Supreme Court on Wednesday, sentenced former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, in absentia to five years in prison for negligence over mismanaging a rice subsidy scheme.
The politician was convicted of negligence in preventing corruption and irregularities in her government’s rice-pledging scheme prior to the 2014 coup.

Nigerian man involved in an accident calls God Is Good Motors out for abandoning him in the hospital

A certain man Paulcy C. Iwuala has written to YabaLeftOnline, to share his grievance with God Is Good Motors, who abandoned him after being involved in an accident with one of the buses. In a letter titled “The Inhuman Face of God Is Good (GIG) Motors”, he wrote:

The deceased Morrison Akinyemi was said to have been  beaten to death by his baby mama identified as Chidinma during a fight. The couple were said to have engaged in a fight upon returning from a party, a fight which led to the untimely death of Morrison.

Widow accuses Ekiti state lawmaker of sexual and physical assault

A member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dare Pelemo, has been accused of sexually and physically assaulting a widow at the Assembly complex.

Following the allegations, the Ekiti State International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) has demanded the arrest and prosecution Mr Pelemo. He is accused of fondling the breasts of Mrs Ilesanmi on September 6 at the Assembly complex.

Journalist and PR consultant, Lekan Fatodu has filed a defamation suit against Sowore Omoyele, Publisher of Sahara Reporters. 

In the suit filed at an Ikeja High Court with suit number ID/ADR/492/2017, Fatodu, who is claiming N100 million in damages, named Sowore Omoyele, Sahara Reporters Media Foundation and the online publication Sahara Reporters as defendants.

Police arrest suspected rapist of Ekiti college of Education student (photo)

The Ekiti state police command has arrested one Tope, pictured above, a commercial bus driver for allegedly raping a 200-level female student of College of Education, Ikere Ekiti last week. According to reports, the female student was returning from the hospital where she had gone to receive medication for malaria when the driver overpowered her and raped her inside his bus along the lonely Ikere – Igbara Odo Road at about 8pm on Sunday Septemeber 17th.
