Reports making round is that Big Brother Naija’s Gifty is pregnant with her first child with her supposed ex, Mr 2Kay. Gifty’s mother according to Instablog9ja, currently has her daughter living with her in the Badagry area of Lagos.

Attempts to confirm the news from Gifty proved abortive until she was recently spotted out with  Rosaline Meurer, baring her growing bump.

A 300 level student of Caleb University has allegedly been murdered by the babymama. The deceased Morrison Akinyemi was said to have been  beaten to death by his baby mama identified as Chidinma during a fight. The couple were said to have engaged in a fight upon returning from a party, a fight which led to the untimely death of Morrison.

Widow accuses Ekiti state lawmaker of sexual and physical assault

A member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dare Pelemo, has been accused of sexually and physically assaulting a widow at the Assembly complex.

Following the allegations, the Ekiti State International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) has demanded the arrest and prosecution Mr Pelemo. He is accused of fondling the breasts of Mrs Ilesanmi on September 6 at the Assembly complex.

Journalist and PR consultant, Lekan Fatodu has filed a defamation suit against Sowore Omoyele, Publisher of Sahara Reporters. 

In the suit filed at an Ikeja High Court with suit number ID/ADR/492/2017, Fatodu, who is claiming N100 million in damages, named Sowore Omoyele, Sahara Reporters Media Foundation and the online publication Sahara Reporters as defendants.

Police arrest suspected rapist of Ekiti college of Education student (photo)

The Ekiti state police command has arrested one Tope, pictured above, a commercial bus driver for allegedly raping a 200-level female student of College of Education, Ikere Ekiti last week. According to reports, the female student was returning from the hospital where she had gone to receive medication for malaria when the driver overpowered her and raped her inside his bus along the lonely Ikere – Igbara Odo Road at about 8pm on Sunday Septemeber 17th.

Russia threatens to ban Facebook in 2018

Russia has threatened to ban Facebook in 2018 if the social network fails to comply with local data storage laws.

Alexander Zharov, head of communications regulator Roskomnadzor, was quoted by official state media outlets saying "the law is obligatory for all. In all cases we will make sure the law is complied with, or the company will stop working in the Russian Federation. There are no exceptions here."
