Zamfara state Assistant Commissioner Of Police kidnapped

Suspected kidnappers have abducted an assistant commissioner of police in the Zamfara state police command, Emmanuel Adeniyi. According to reports, Adeniyi who is in charge of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the state police command, was abducted by suspected kidnappers while driving with three members of his family along the Dandume/Birnin Gwari road (Katsina/Kaduna) road on his way back to Gusau the capital of Zamfara state yesterday September 27th.

The kidnappers are yet to contact the family of the victims. The police are making efforts to free the victims and apprehend the kidnappers.

Hours after Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state declared his intention to run for president come 2019, EFCC operatives stormed the state to arrest the duo of the Accountant-General of Ekiti State and Ekiti State Commissioner of Finance. According to a statement posted on their social media platform, the anti-graft agency said the men were arrested after they refused to honor an invitation by the Commission to explain their roles as alleged in a petition in respect of bail-out funds released to the state. Both are currently in the custody of the anti-graft agency.

‘Policeman framed me for robbery because I denied him sex for bail'- Woman tells Lagos court

A 27-year-old trader and mother of four, Victoria Amodu, yesterday told an Ikeja High Court, Lagos that an Investigative Police Officer (IPO) at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja Division, demanded sex from her to release her from custody. Amodu who sells bread for a living, is standing trial alongside one other person, Hammed Isiaka, for alleged conspiracy and armed robbery attack that was committed in August 2014.
