Residents of a community in Benin City, Edo State, have nabbed three robbers who broke into a home via its wall.The robbers were caught just minutes after successfully breaking into the house. Residents beat them blue black before handing them over to the police.

According to new reports, Caleb, who is a 22-year final year student of the University of Benin, smashed his 55-year-old mother's head and ripped her womb opened with a broken bottle because she refused to give him money. Caleb is the last child of his mother.

Nnamdi Kanu, not in our custody - Nigeria Defense HQ says

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) says that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu was not in any military custody. The Director Defence Information, (DDI) Major General John Enenche, addressed a press conference in Abuja yesterday where he denied allegations made by Kanu's brother, Emmanuel, at a press conference in Umuahia recently, where the younger Kanu called on the Military to release the corpse of the secessionist group leader if they have killed him. He alleged that since the military's "invasion" of his brother's house on September 14th, Nnamdi and his parents have gone missing. Read here.

23 years old Agbola Ibrahim has been awarded 12 strokes of the cane in an open court for stealing an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle in Ibadan.The motorcycle was valued at N250,000 as at the time of coming the offence.The Chief Magistrate, Mr.A.A. Adebisi gave the sentence while hearing the case at the Magistrate Court 2, Iyaganku, Ibadan, Friday.

According to The Nation, Ibrahim, who was arrested and arraigned by the police was said to have been nabbed while running away with the stolen unregistered motorcycle around Mokola area of the Ibadan metropolist.

Epileptic woman dies during sex romp with married man

A man simply identified as Tolu has landed in trouble after he had sex with an epileptic woman and she died in his room during a sex romp in Lagos.

The incident happened at Oke Odo area of Lagos where both the woman and the man reside. The man has been arrested and detained at Oke Odo Police Division and he is now being charged for murder. Former President, Obasanjo admits Buhari's administration has been slow, also speaks on Biafra

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has criticised the slow pace at which the present administration of Muhammadu Buhari is taking to fulfill its promises to Nigerians. The former president said this in an interview with African Arguments magazine, and stressed that President Buhari had not done enough for Nigerians especially in employment creation for the youth.

”All youth in Nigeria have legitimate reasons to feel frustrated and angry. Buhari has made some announcements. He has tried to keep on going in the area of agribusiness, but not enough. It is not yet enough to prepare the ground for uninhibited growth of the economy, which we need,” Mr. Obasanjo said.
