Cristiano Ronaldo sells Ballon d'Or trophy to raise £530,000 for charity

Cristiano Ronaldo has once again extended his generosity to a charity organization by selling off a prized Ballon d'Or trophy to raise over £530,000 for Make-A-Wish Foundation.

According to Spanish daily Marca, the Real Madrid star donated a replica of his 2013 award to a London auction at the weekend which was bought by Idan Ofer, Israel's richest person, for €600,000.

Bedbugs take over Yabatech hostels and classrooms in Lagos

Some student of The Yaba College of Education (YABATECH) have lamented being terrorized by bedbugs in their hostels since the beginning of this year.

A new student of the school who spoke to The Nation newspaper, said he was told upon entering the hostel by a senior student that he would have to disinfect his mattress as they were all filled with bedbugs. More injuries were added when students started seeing the bugs in their classrooms.

Officers of the Lagos State police command arrested some masquerades after causing chaos at Elere area of Agege Lagos. According to the police officials, the masquerades were apprehended alongside other hoodlums for robbing members of the community and also causing breach of the peace in the area.
