Video: Teenage girl sexually assaulted 3 separate times in one hour

A teenage girl was sexually assaulted three different times by three different men in one hour as she walked home from a night out in London last month, local police said Friday.

The 17-year-old student became separated from her friends following a jaunt to the Tower Hamlets nightclub and attempted to get to her central London home but she was attacked by a man. As she came out after suffering the first attack with her clothes disheveled, another man attacked her, and another, all within the space of one hour.

Oscars board expels Harvey Weinstein over sexual harassment scandal

In the latest and perhaps most symbolic blow to Hollywood mogul, Harvey Weinstein since a host of sexual harassment and assault allegations went public nine days ago, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences board voted on Saturday to strip Weinstein's membership.

In a statement, the academy said the action, which is effective immediately, was intended "not simply to separate ourselves from someone who does not merit the respect of his colleagues but also to send a message that the era of willful ignorance and shameful complicity in sexually predatory behavior and workplace harassment in our industry is over."

'I bought 15 cars, built 4 houses' - Suspected human parts dealer apprehended in Ogun state confesses

The Ogun state police command recently arrested a suspected ritualist who specializes in buying and using human parts for rituals. According to the state police commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu, the suspects were members of two syndicates that operate within the state.

The police commissioner told newsmen that the first syndicate comprising of 67-year-old Lateef Aremu pictured above and 32-year-old Kola Sodipo, specialized in purchasing and exhuming corpses for money ritual. They were arrested following a tip-off from members of the public.

Lai Mohammed urges International partners to proscribe IPOB

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has called on Nigeria’s International partners to designate the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terrorist organization. The Minister made the call in his article, entitled ''Thwarting Terrorism in Nigeria'', which appeared in the US newspaper 'Washington Times' on Thursday, 12th Oct. 2017.

He argues that IPOB’s actions qualify the group as a terrorist organization in most jurisdictions. On 20th Sept 2017, the Federal Government of Nigeria proscribed IPOB, which has been violently agitating for a separate state in the South-East.

Rochas Okorocha honours South African President, Jacob Zuma with a chieftaincy title in Imo State

South African President, Jacob Zuma has been conferred with the “Ochiagha Imo” chieftaincy title by Eze Imo, HRH Samuel Ohiri Owerri, Imo State.

The chieftaincy title certificate was presented to him by former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.  The conferment of chieftaincy title on the South African president is part of the activities scheduled for his two-day visit to the Imo State.

The governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha yesterday unveiled a giant statue of South Africa president Jacob Zuma in Owerri, Imo state. Zuma is on a two day visit to Owerri, Imo State, South East Nigeria.

He was conferred a traditional chieftaincy title by the state governor, a road was named after him and then, a statue of him unveiled in Owerri city.
