Yesterday Davido was cleared by the Police to go about his business after he made a statement at Panti absolving himself of any wrong doing in the demise of Tagbo Umeike. His lawyer, Bobo F. Ajudua confirmed.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State Government says it did not authorise the Nigeria Army or indeed any other body or person to enter into school premises to administer forced medication or vaccination on any child in any school in Rivers State.

Update: Police arrest 17-year-old girl for stabbing boyfriend to death in Lagos during argument over alleged infidelity (photos)

The police in Lagos State have arrested 17-year-old Hannah Osazuwa, for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend Tomide Akintoye, to death at Gowon Estate in Egbeda.

It was gathered that on Monday morning, an argument ensued between the couple and Osazuwa, who was treated to a lavish birthday celebration, allegedly stabbed Akintoye, alias Life of Tomson, with a pair of scissors.

Parents immediately dashed to various schools to withdraw their children and wards, but were met with some resistance by teachers - especially at Port Harcourt primary school.

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered Senator Eyninnaya Abaribe, and two others standing as sureties for the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, to produce him in court or risk jail term or forfeit their N300m bail bond.

Justice Nyako gave the order today at the resumed hearing of the treasonable felony case filed against Kanu and three members of IPOB.

50-year-old man rapes three-year-old girl to death in Katsina State

A 50-year-old man, Abdullahi Sani has been arrested by police for allegedly raping a three-year -old girl to death in Jabiri, Funtua local government area of Katsina State.

Spokesperson for the State PiliceCommand, DSP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the development on Monday said Sani lured the child to an uncompleted building and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

Davido's friends and driver still in police custody, 2 more arrested

The two friends of singer, Davido, and his driver, who were arrested last week in connection with the death of 35-year-old Tagbo Umeike, are still in police custody. Recall that the two friends, Agbaje Olaoye and Idris Busari, were arrested last week Wednesday, October 11th, after Davido brought them himself to see the commissioner of Police in Ikeja who then ordered their arrest.

A woman has come forward with details of an unsettling interview she had after applying to be Harvey Weinstein’s nanny.

She said the shamed media mogul conducted the interview in only his boxers and undershirt, then when they were done, he hugged her tight and professed love for her there and then. Sarah Anne Massie told Inside Edition:
"He opened the door wearing only boxer shorts and an undershirt. I obviously thought it was strange."

Sen. Enyianya Abaribe applies to be discharged as Nnamdi Kanu’s surety

Senator Enyinaya Abaribe who was one of the sureties that signed the bail of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has applied to the court to be discharged from the suretyship, bond, and recognizance of the bail.

In an application filed before the court today, Senator Abaribe is asking the court to make an order discharging him as surety to Kanu.

World Bank Group says it has an investment portfolio of about 8.5 billion dollars scattered across states and regions in Nigeria to support inclusive economic development and youth empowerment. 

According to Mrs Olufunke Olufon, the Senior Communications Officer, World Bank Nigeria, she stated that the investments were to assist the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory to reduce poverty and foster prosperity for all Nigerians. 

Late Tagbo Umeike to be laid to rest on Friday October 20th in Anambra

The body of 35 year old Tagbo Umeike, the friend of singer Davido, who died on October 2nd in Lagos, will be laid to rest at his family compound in his village in Anambra state this Friday, October 20th.  The autopsy report released by the police showed he died from suffocation. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
