Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, says he will be taking the Federal government to court after he broke his leg in an accident while going to work. Speaking at the National Stakeholders Summit on Whistleblowing in Abuja today, Falana

“I am sure you saw me limping and using a walking stick when I was coming in. It is because I fell into a manhole while walking to my office on Shehu Shagari Way. I broke my leg and I am even wearing Plaster of Paris and I was even hospitalized. So, I won’t like the ordinary Nigerian leave it to God. I have decided that tomorrow I will sue the Federal Government.”

The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday said it has put strategic measures in place to tackle the wave of traffic robberies in the State, assuring that the Command would go all out to ensure a crime free yuletide for Lagosians.

The State’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal in a statement, disclosed that over twenty eight (28) traffic robbery suspects were arrested last Friday and will soon be charged to court.

The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), says the Federal government is hesitating to pay the whistle-blower who exposed the N13 billion found in an Ikoyi, Lagos apartment, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, because he might go mad after receiving his N860 million entitlement.
