A final year student of the Imo State University (IMSU), Miss Kelechi Assumpta Ibeh, marked her 23rd birthday in a big way last Thursday. It was her last.

The Banking and Finance student was shot dead by suspected secret cult members, who allegedly stormed her hostel where she held a party to mark the day. The incident happened on Douglas Road in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

An Indian lady has been arrested for the murder of a 5-year-old girl in India. Anita Waghela, 22, lured five-year-old Anjali Saroj with chocolates, then kidnapped and strangled her to death in a women’s toilet at Navsari railway station in Gujarat. According to reports, Waghela killed the child as revenge after the girl's father refused to divorce his wife and marry her.

Governor Godwin Obaseki approves 150 hectares of land for 150 Libyan returnees in Edo State

Godwin Obaseki, the Governor of Edo State has approved 150 hectares of land and N100million seed capital for the 150 Libyan returnees and victims of human trafficking, who completed a skills acquisition training at the Edo Agricultural Development Programme (ADP) office in Benin City, the Edo State capital. 

Obaseki, who made the announcement during the graduation ceremony of the returnees, directed the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources to immediately liaise with the relevant authorities towards securing the land for the returnees to commence agribusinesses

A lady who read his post reached out to him asking if she can sue a man she met on facebook. The said man had invited her to see him in Abuja. On getting to the hotel, he disclosed to her that he was married.

She asked him to leave the hotel immediately and return to his wife because she does not like getting involved with married men. The man said he had already told his wife that he was going for a seminar.
