Arnold Schwarzenegger, 70, has undergone emergency open-heart surgery after a failed valve replacement procedure.

Sources close to the Terminator actor said he went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Thursday to have a scheduled catheter valve replacement. The former governor of California developed complications during the risky procedure, leading to an emergency open-heart surgery that reportedly lasted several hours.

'I helped PDP rig elections' Ex-Deputy Senate president, Ibrahim Mantu confesses

One time deputy senate president, Ibrahim Mantu, has confessed to helping his party, PDP, rig elections in the past. Mantu made his confession when he appeared as a guest on Channels Television.

During the interview, Mantu said he has mentioned he helped the party rig elections before. When asked to elaborate, he said he offered bribe to electoral officials and security agents during elections.

Young lady slashes ex-boyfriend's neck with razor blade in Delta State (Graphic)

The lady pictured above, who lives in Sapele, Delta State, attacked her ex-boyfriend with a razor blade and nearly decapitated him.

The incident reportedly happened on Tuesday night, March 27. It was learnt that the man had slapped the lady for constantly talking bad about him to his mother and siblings. In retaliation she attacked him with blade. A good Samaritan rushed the victim to St James Hospital located at Amukpe, where he is currently receiving treatment. See the graphic photos below...

United Nations peacekeepers leave Liberia after 15 years

Today, UN Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) finally concluded a 15-year mission in the one-time war-torn country, describing its operations as a success.

The UN said the peacekeepers were departing a “stable and grateful Liberia” as peacekeeping mission in the country formally ceased operations on Friday after aiding Liberia’s transition from ravaging civil war to a hopeful era of peace.

71-year-old man cleared of murder case after spending 45 years in prison

Richard Phillips, a 71-year-old Detroit man has been released from prison after spending over 45 years in custody. 

Phillips had been wrongfully accused of being involved in a fatal shooting in 1971. A judge granted the prosecutor’s request to permanently drop the case against Phillips, whose conviction was erased last year.

Police detectives attached to the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), Milverton, Lagos State, have arrested some men, who posed as international businessmen, members of House of Representatives and members of Benin Kingdom’s royal family to defraud a former lawmaker of $1.5 million.

According to reports, Investigation of the suspects started on July 28, 2017 with a crack team of detectives going to Murtala International Airport, Lagos State, to arrest the syndicate’s leader identified as Franklin Osiemwonyi Izekor, 45, aka Prince Joshua Akenzua.

A member of the House of Representatives, Umar Baba Jibril, has died. Aged 58 years, Jibril, a three time member of the house, died after a brief illness in Abuja.

He was until his death, the Deputy Majority Leader of the house. He was also a former speaker of the Kogi state house of assembly. He represented Lokoja/Kogi Federal constituency in the House of Representatives.

The student identified as Emmanuel Onaghise, was reportedly ambushed by suspected cultists around 10.25p.m on Monday, 26th March 2018.

Two students found dead after heavy rainfall in Lagos state

Two male students of a private secondary school were picked up dead in the flood after a heavy rain in Alagbado area of Lagos on Thursday March 29th.

According to PM news, the boys were found floating on water at Casso Bus Stop on Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway by shop owners and people waiting to board vehicles to their destinations.
