Two pilots in India suspended for allowing 'girlfriend' fly in cockpit

Two Jet Airways pilots in India were officially suspended by the carrier for allowing an unauthorized “lady friend” to sit in the cockpit for the duration of the trip from Goa to Mumbai.

According to the Times of India, the pilots are now in bigger trouble, as they ignored a temporary month-long license suspension from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and illicitly agreed to fly again for Jet Airways.

Court rejects EFCC’s bid to seize $8.4m, N7.35bn linked to Patience Jonathan

The Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday rejected an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission seeking the temporary forfeiture of funds in 15 bank accounts linked to Mrs. Patience Jonathan.

The funds, which the EFCC sought to seize, include a total of $8,435,788.84 and over N7.35bn kept in 15 bank accounts opened in the name of Patience, five companies and one Esther Oba.

It is no longer news that President Buhari has declared his interest to seek a second term in office, much to the secret chagrin of his side kick, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, who, though he feigns delight at the President’s decision, is secretly disappointed.
