Prince William has returned to the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London with his older children, George and Charlotte, sparking huge cheers from the crowd outside. The Duke of Cambridge was present when the Duchess gave birth to a baby boy this morning. He was later seen leaving the Lindo wing on Monday afternoon with the promise that he will return.

It is understood he was heading back to Kensington Palace to check on Prince George and Princess Charlotte with the plan being to bring them back to the Paddington hospital to meet the newborn.

The police in Lagos state has arrested Taiwo Oyelabi, 50, living in Community Road, Badore, Iba, for sexually abusing and impregnating his daughter, 21. The suspect is a security guard. Dino Melaye has been released

The police has released Senator Dino Melaye. The embattled senator was arrested this morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja when he was about to fly to Morocco for an official assignment.

Confirming his arrest, his spokesperson, Gideon Ayodele, said he had been released after a stand-off that lasted about two and a half hours.

Confirming his arrest to NAN, spokesperson of the Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, Sunday James, said the airport authorities acted based on instructions. James however did not reveal who issued the instruction for the arrest.

Nigerians in diaspora wired $22b home in 2017 - World Bank

Diaspora Nigerians wired $22 billion home in 2017, an African record and the fifth largest remittance by immigrants, according to the World Bank. Egypt received $20 billion from its citizens abroad, according to figures published by the bank today. 

The World Bank said payments  from immigrants back to their home countries rebounded to reach a new record in 2017 but the costs of transferring funds also increased.
