Today, Senator Dino Melaye was rushed to an Abuja hospital after sustaining injuries when he allegedly jumped off a moving Police vehicle.

Reacting to the development, former aviation minister Femi Fani Kayode wrote, 'This is @dino_melaye. He was one of those that fought @GEJonathan and supported @MBuhari. He is being wheeled into a hospital after jumping off a SARS vehicle that was conveying him to Kogi state to face criminal charges. This is what Buhari does to his friends for opposing him.

Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi west senatorial District has been rushed to an Abuja hospital after sustaining injuries when he allegedly jumped off a moving Police vehicle.

Melaye was arrested Tuesday morning by operatives of the Nigeria Police drawn from its Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS. It was gathered that the senator allegedly jumped out of the moving vehicle while he was being taken to Lokoja.

Benue Catholic priest killed by herdsmen raised alarm in January over activities of Fulani herdsmen in his community

Rev Father Joseph Gor who was killed while conducting a morning mass in his church in Mbalom in Gwer- East Local Government area of the state, sometime in January raised alarm over the activities of herdsmen in his community. In his post, Fr. Gor said himself and his community members were living in fear.

Herdsmen stormed his church today while he was conducting morning mass, killing him, his assistant priest and 17 others.

Suspected Fulani herdsmen in the early hours of today killed two priests and 17 other parishioners during an early morning mass at the St. Ignatius’ Catholic Church in Ayar community of Gwer-East Local Government Area in the state.

The slain priests, Revd. Frs. Joseph Gor and Felix Tyolaha and other victims were butchered to death by the assailants. Their remains have been deposited at the Bishop Murray Medical Centre, Makurdi. See photo and video below..

A trigger-happy officer of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, opened fire on local government employees as they were celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employee, NULGE, in Agege area of Lagos state.

The celebration was underway on Tuesday, April 25th, when the NDLEA officer took the staff unawares, firing into their midst. One person died and several others were injured following the shooting.

The Indian Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has busted an international drugs smuggling racket and seized condoms filled with liquid cocaine.

Two Brazilians and a Nigerian were arrested by the agency from a guest house in the Paharganj area of central Delhi on April 16, as part of an intelligence-based operation of the anti-narcotics agency.

Dino Melaye allegedly jumped out of police vehicle conveying him to Kogi and ran into the bush

According to The Sun, embattled senator Dino Melaye this afternoon jumped off the vehicle that was conveying him to Kogi state and ran into the thick bush nearby. He was arrested by SARS officers in Abuja this morning and was being transported to Kogi state where he is expected to respond to allegations of sponsoring two assassins.

The assassins were arrested in February and they confessed to have been funded by Melaye.
