Explosion in Lagos kills one person

There was an explosion this morning under the Festac Link Bridge that killed a middle aged businessman, Oladele Pius. He was unfortunately passing under the bridge at the exact moment the explosion occurred. His body parts flew in different directions and police had to use shovel to scoop pieces of his body parts scattered around the scene into a bag. Sad! Mr Pius was the head of the sand dredgers association in the area. 

The police said it wasn't a bomb as earlier speculated, that what the bomb disposal unit found at the scene was battery put in a torchlight. They promised to investigate what really happened and find the people behind it. There are those who believe that Oladele Pius was targeted. The man you see above was injured by the explosion.
