3 nabbed as they attempt to snatch former miss Nigeria Feyi Sodipo's car

Former Miss Nigeria, Feyi Sodipo, escaped being abducted by three fake security operatives who claimed to be working for the organisers of Miss Nigeria beauty pageant yesterday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The suspects, including two men and a woman, were said to have coerced Feyi, brought her in their car from Lagos to Abeokuta, where they said they were coming to retrieve the car which she won during the contest.

The suspects, who rode a Honda Shuttle car marked (LAGOS), KA 35 EKY, were said to have forcefully ordered the former beauty queen to enter their car from Lagos to Abeokuta where the Hyundai car she won with registration number (LAGOS) GGE 354 AJ was to be retrieved.
However, attempt by the suspects to forcefully take the car away at the Arcade ground of the State Secretariat Complex, Oke Mosan, met with resistance as the mother of the ex-beauty queen raised the alarm that attracted the people.

The suspects, who claimed to be police officers, however, failed to provide identification papers to justify the claim when security operatives rushed to the scene.

The security personnel consequently arrested the suspects and took them to the Ibara Police Divisional headquarters.

Speaking on the development, Sodipo said the she had been chased round by the organisers of the programme, asking her to surrender the car gift she got from the Akwa-Ibom State Government.

She said there was no provision in the contract she signed with the organisers that they would retrieve the car from her, stressing that the vehicle was registered in her name.
