Nigerian writer & filmmaker, Onyeka Nwelue, kicks off a new political party

Nigerian writer and filmmaker, Onyeka Nwelue, whose debut documentary film, The House of Nwapa premiered in the US at Harvard University recently, yesterday shared this on his Facebook as he kicks off a new political party with young people in Nigeria. The political party he says is called #ProgressParty.

Nwelue has been an Assistant Visiting Professor of African Stuides & Literature at Manipur University in India and he is 28 years old and is currently a Research Fellow at Ohio University's Center for International Studies in Athens, Ohio, where he is to curate AthenaCinemaAfrica, a series of film screenings of African films.

He splits his between the United States and Nigeria.
