No Sergio Aguero, no problem! Man City outclass and outplay Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford bridge

When Manchester City's star striker, Sergio Aguero, damaged his ribs during a taxi accident while in Holland early this week, many City fans feared the worst, considering that they had a top of the table clash with defending champions, Chelsea- but all of that is now talk for the birds as Manchester City dominated, out-passed and out-classed Antonio Conte's team 1-0 in Chelsea's own backyard.Chelsea lost striker Alvaro Morata to an apparent hamstring problem in the first half and were second best to a City side denied when Thibaut Courtois saved from David Silva and then Fernandinho.

Chelsea was without key player- David Luiz and tried a tactical 3-4-3 formation that had Christensen, Cahill and Rudiger as Courtois cover while Guardiola short of options opted for the error prone John Stones and Otamendi as center back pairing while Delph played in the unfamiliar role of left back- and from the line up one could sense that magic was about to happen.
Conte looked like his 3-4-3 formation was an undercover 5-4-1 formation and as time passed by it looked like Chelsea were willing to sit out a draw while City looked ravaging on the counter.

City had scored 16 times without reply in their past three league fixtures and from the beginning used the full width of the pitch, with David Silva and De Bruyne prominently involved.

Chelsea had 35% of possession in the first half and the pass count was 318-140 in City’s favour - of a truth City looked the more dangerous side, looking for the slightest opportunity to devour.

The first half produced no goals, but in the second half City scored- when Batshuayi was introduced for Morata who picked up an injury.

City weren't alway perfect but they stuck to plan which resulted in a goal for Kevin De Bruyne, an ex-Chelsea player, one of their rejects they never believed could cut it out in a big team.
De Bruyne’s one-two with Jesus resulted in a twenty yards out shot was that sent them back to the top of the English premier league.

This result made it eight straight wins for City in all competitions and a fairly wretched day for Chelsea.
