I dated Charles for a few years before I proposed to him to marry me, else I would leave. He was getting too comfortable with just dating me because marriage wasn't really on his mind. You know, he hasn’t been lucky in that department. During my first visit to Nigeria, I met his wonderful family and it was clear he was coming from a very strict Christian background. His family was a very spiritual one with high sense of morality and values, there was no way some of that wouldn’t have robbed off on Charles. I just fell in love with him and his close nit family. Since then, they have been ever so kind and loving to me. I just thank God.

Oscar Pistorius: 'I thought that Reeva was in bed'

Oscar Pistorius appeared in court today and gave his account of what happened at his home the night he shot his girlfriend dead. As far as I'm concerned, it's BS. See it below

He claimed he had been on the balcony of his house when he heard noises from the bathroom. Believing Reeva Steenkamp was asleep in bed, he grabbed his gun and shouted a warning before firing four shots through the door. It was only then, Pistorius claims that he realised Miss Steenkamp was not in bed.

'I kicked the door open,' he said  'I tried to help her but she died in my arms.'

You shouted a warning and she didn't respond? I'm beginning to believe this man is a cold blooded killer. His explanation makes no sense. Is the bathroom not in the bedroom? And to walk from the balcony to the bed where he kept his gun, wouldn't he have noticed his girlfriend was not in bed? Unbelievable! See his full statement after the cut.

Nigerian jailed in UK for lottery scam

A Nigerian has been jailed in UK for lottery scam. The Nigerian who returned to Britain after being deported was jailed for his role in a £2.7million lottery scam.

According to Daily Mail, Osas Odia, 33, was booted out of the UK in 2005 after immigration officials discovered he was using a forged stamp in his passport to work.
However, the management graduate was allowed to return on a marriage visa after marrying a British nurse.
Upon returning he joined a group of Nigerian fraudsters who sent thousands of letters to people across the world telling them they had won millions on the lottery.

He claimed he mistook his girlfriend for a burglar when he shot her, but South African police has dismissed the claim. They believe the blade runner killed his model girlfriend, 29 year old Reeva Steenkamp, in a fit of rage possibly caused by performance-boosting steroids.

Explosion in Lagos kills one person

There was an explosion this morning under the Festac Link Bridge that killed a middle aged businessman, Oladele Pius. He was unfortunately passing under the bridge at the exact moment the explosion occurred. His body parts flew in different directions and police had to use shovel to scoop pieces of his body parts scattered around the scene into a bag. Sad! Mr Pius was the head of the sand dredgers association in the area. 

The police said it wasn't a bomb as earlier speculated, that what the bomb disposal unit found at the scene was battery put in a torchlight. They promised to investigate what really happened and find the people behind it. There are those who believe that Oladele Pius was targeted. The man you see above was injured by the explosion. I died for seven days - Patience Jonathan

First Lady, Patience Jonathan, on Sunday opened up on her controversial medical trip last year, admitting for the first time she ailed terribly and was close to dying.

Mrs. Jonathan, who spoke at a special thanksgiving service at the Aso Rock Chapel where the first family worships, said she underwent multiple surgical operations and at some point her doctors lost hope after she “passed out for more than a week.”

Drake rejected from nightclub where Chris Brown & Rihanna was partying

Drake was reportedly turned away from a Hollywood club earlier this week because Chris Brown was already inside partying at the hotspot.
The singer showed up at Playhouse around midnight on Wednesday, but was rejected by bouncers at the door, who apparently wanted to avoid a sequel to Drake and Brown’s summer club brawl at W.i.P. in New York.

Gunmen Kidnap 7 Foreign Employees of Setraco in Bauchi

Seven foreign workers of giant construction company, Setraco, were kidnapped last night by gunmen in Bauchi. The attackers went to the Lebanese-owned construction site of Setraco in Jama'are town, where they killed a security guard and kidnapped the foreign workers

Adamu Aliyu, the chairman of the local government area identified those kidnapped as one British citizen, one Greek, one Italian and four Lebanese.
Bauchi State Police Chief Mohammed Ladan told AFP that the unknown gunmen first attacked a local prison, burning two police trucks, before targeting Setraco, which is in the area building a road.

Actor Majid Michel to guest star on Tinsel

Ghanaian leading man Majid Michel will be joining the star-studded Tinsel cast from Tuesday February 19. He will be playing himself in the dramatic soapie that is broadcast every day (Monday to Friday) at 7:30 PM on AfricaMagic Entertainment.

Asked why he took on a Tinsel guest role, Majid’s answer is both emotional and practical.

“A long time ago, I realized that my acting is not only about myself, it’s an extension of many things that I hope for in our industry. So I made up my mind to extend myself to film projects that improve our movie making prospects within the continent. I believe that this can also inspire young actors coming behind me.  Tinsel is a typical reflection of that, after all, its’ one of the most successful soaps out of Nigeria.”

Well Femi Fani Kayode kinda blamed the dead girl on provoking the double amputee athlete into a murderous rage. He said in his piece that Reeva was sent to Oskar by the devil to destroy him He referred to her as a Jezebel, Delilah, 'creature from the sea'...
