OAP Nedu of Wazobia FM Weds long time girlfriend

Ace Wazobia FM OAP Ani Chinedu Emmanuel aka Nedu, who cracks the whole of Lagos up with his amazing rendition of the news in pidgin and an MTN ambassador, finally exchanged vows with his long time girlfriend Uzoamaka Ohiri at the marriage registry in Ikoyi on Thursday April 4th 2013. The church wedding will hold in Lagos on the 4th of May 2013.

Uzoamaka is a graduate of Madonna University, Okija, same as Nedu. See more photos after the cut..

Former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher dies at 87

Former British Prime Minister, Baroness Margaret Thatcher died this morning at the age of 87 after suffering a massive stroke. Mrs Thatcher was UK's first female Prime Minister, serving from 1979 to 1990, the longest run by any 20th century prime minister.

Rlg Communications Nigeria Limited, an Information and Communications Technology products manufacturing and training company is providing free commuter ride on the Bus Rapid Transit system of the Lagos State Government on special buses designated to ply selected routes within the metropolis for 30 days.

The rationale behind the RLG Free BRT ride is a major corporate social responsibility to assist commuters, at least, within a given period in order to demonstrate the bond existing between the company and the generality of Nigerians by assuaging the stress of transport fares on their pockets.

Fayemi, others weep as Olayinka's mother demand whereabouts of late daughter

The aged mother of the late Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Mrs Funmi Olayinka, on Sunday wept profusely as she received Governor Kayode Fayemi and his wife, Bisi.
Fayemi, alongside his wife and other top government officials on a condolence visit, arrived at the Famuwagun’s family house of the parents of departed Olayinka in Oke Ori-Omi, Ado Ekiti, at about 10am.

Emotions ran high as the governor could not hold back tears when the 81-year old grieving mother, Mrs. Adetutu Grace Famuagun, repeatedly asked “Kayode, where is Funmi?

Madonna dissed by the President of Malawi for sending a mispelled letter

 

Madonna has become embroiled in a war of words with the President of Malawi after she sent her a tatty, misspelled letter.

President Joyce Banda has accused the superstar of going back on her promises and 'insulting the people' after receiving the letter, which kindly praised the leader but was riddled with mistakes.

The 54-year-old pop star asked to meet Banda - who was elected to office in April 2012 - during her visit, but was met with hostility and accusations.

Pastor arrested over robbery attack at Murtala Muhammed International Airport

 

On Tuesday, Lagos State Police Command, paraded seven suspects of a robbery gang that attacked the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos, last month, killed two policemen and injured several others.

Among the suspects, was the General Overseer of The way of Joy church located in Egbe, a Lagos suburb. The clerg , identified as Pastor Ibikunle Olarewaju John (pictured top left), confessed to Crime Guard during the parade, that he administered an oath of secrecy on the gang members, on the day they attacked the Muritala Mohammed Airport.

Popular Evangelist Rick Warren's Son Commits Suicide

The youngest son of Saddleback Valley Community Church pastor Rick Warren has committed suicide after a long battle with mental illness. Rick Warren, the head pastor of the 8th largest church in the U.S made the announcement yesterday Saturday April 6th at his church in Lake Forest, CA.

Rick Warren told members of his congregation that his son took his own life Friday night after battling with mental illness for years which resulted in deep depression and suicidal thoughts. Matthew Warren (pictured right) was 27.

Rick is the author of numerous Christian books, including "The Purpose Driven Life," which has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. 

Three Nigerian men caught with box of fake dollars in Lagos

The police at Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos have arrested three suspected  fraudsters who dupe unsuspecting members of the public using fake dollars and a fake Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, certificate.

The suspects, Olasende Akinsiku, 40, Abiodun Akiniyi, 35, and Tajudeen Lasisi, 40, (pictured above) were arrested following a complaint by a retired Major General to Abba Kyari, the officer in charge of SARS, that he was swindled by the arrested suspects.
