"Jim Iyke Unscripted not scripted" - Says Jim Iyke

Jim Iyke ex-fiancee, Keturah Hamilton recently released a press statement claiming the reality show was scripted but Jim says it's not true. The actor explains:

"I am sure you saw part of the clips. Somebody sped off and jumped inside the river. That was a friend of mine. I don't think anybody will accept a script in order to die. I don't ever think anybody could have scripted that. If it was scripted, we would make sure that the lightning, the angles at which we shot was right. The dark pictures and angles at which it was shot is an evidence that it was not scripted. As soon as I wake up and I am ready to go out, they clip something in my jacket to record every conversation that I made through out the day. There's nothing hidden."

Ailing actor Peter Bunor says Nollywood has abandoned him

The ailing actor who has been suffering from stroke for a while now told Vanguard in tears that he has been abandoned by his colleagues in Nollywood. Bruno, who has relocated to Asaba, said:

"Since this thing happened there has been no single actor that called me to ask about my condition. It is a shame on their part. Would they say they don’t know that I am sick?’

‘I had a stroke and that was the end of it. I was unconscious, and if you are unconscious you are dead. It was when I opened my eyes that I realized that I was in a church here in Delta State. I didn’t even know when they brought me down to this place. All I could remember is that I was on admission for a long time before they took me to a church where God healed me.’

Man who slit girlfriend's throat and had sex with her narrates

Most of you have read the story, but just to remind you. On Tuesday April 30th, a 25 year old bricklayer named Akinloye Anuoluwapo slit his ex-girlfriend's throat, a 21year old girl named Rafiyat Akinyemi, then had sex with her as she bled to death in her father's house at Ogijo in Ogun state.

The girl had dumped him and that was too much for him to take. He went to her house armed with a knife and attacked her. Akinloye (pictured above) explains what led to the killing... 

On April 29, I missed her call, and in annoyance, she sent me series of annoying text messages, warning me not to call her or come to her house. I had once sent a message to her, appealing that she should not abandon me because I was disowned by my parents because of her, saying that I would commit suicide if she did. In reference to that message, she said I could die for all she cared, saying that my exit would create more enjoyment for the living, including herself.

Man crushed to death by mast during heavy rain

A 52 year old man identified as Adeolu Adeleke was crushed to death at Marina Car Park, Lagos Island, on Friday May 10th during heavy rain when a communication mast fell from a 2-storey building and crushed him to death.

The roadside trader met his untimely death as he went to protect his wares from heavy rain and winds. He'd dashed across the street to fetch something to cover his wares but the mast fell on him as he made his way back to his shade. See more photos after the cut. *viewer discretion advised*

I'm sure by now most of you have heard about the killing of many security operatives in Nassarawa State. (Read the story HERE ),

On Tuesday May 7th, Nassarawa State Commissioner of Police sent police officers, SSS and Civil Defense personnel to arrest the cult leader of a notorious militia group called 'Ombatse' (a cult group of the Eggon people of Nasarawa State) at Assakyo Village in Lafia, Nassarawa state. (Ombatse in Eggon language means “time has come”).

The state government wanted to arrest the chief priest because the group had been causing security concerns in the state. Unfortunately for the police officers sent to pick the man up, as they approached the Ombatse Shrine in a forest, members of the militia group who had laid ambush for them attacked and killed plenty of them. Many of the police officers were burnt beyond recognition.

Nine girls, forced into pregnancy at a ‘baby factory’ in Imo State, have finally spoke of how they became victims of the highly secret cartel led by a woman known as Madam One Thousand.
The nine were arrested by the police yesterday after initially escaping during a raid of the ‘baby factory’.
Their arrest brings to 26 the number of victims rescued from Ahamefula Motherless Babies Home, Umuaka in Njaba Council Area of the state.
They are aged between 14 and 25.

"I'm totally healed of cancer" - Vast of Bracket declares

Fomer Falcon's coach Jossy Lad dies at 72

Ex- Chief Coach of the Super Falcons, Joseph Ladipo, popularly known as Jossy Lad, has died aged 72. Jossy Lad died in his house yesterday Thursday May 9th after a battle with a heart related ailment and prostate cancer. Mr Ladipo died while having breakfast yesterday morning according to his daughter, Bimbo Olalere. May his soul rest in peace...Amen.
