Soldiers reportedly found a second abducted girl, Serah Luka, during a rescue operation last night. There are reports that she is one of the abducted Chibok girls. Army spokesman Col. Usman Sani Kukasheka said Luka is believed to be the daughter of Pastor Luka, who is one of the parents of the missing Chibok  girls. He said that the girl is believed to be number 157 on the list of the 219 missing Chibok girls. He said in a statement:

Olisa Metuh vomits in court, case adjourned

The trial of the national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, has stalled after he repeatedly threw up at the Federal High Court in Abuja today May 19th.

Counsel to Olisa Metuh, Etiaba Etiaba, told the court today that Metuh became ill last night and was rushed to the hospital by his brother-in-law, Andy Aghaji. At the hospital, they were told the doctors and nurses were on strike. He however met a doctor who prescribed some drugs for him and told him to return today for another medication by 11am.

Edo state govt warns employees, Go on strike and forfeit your pay

The Edo State Government has said that striking workers in the state civil service stand the risk of losing their salaries if they continue in the strike with NLC. This is contained in a statement by the Head of Service, Gladys Idahor. The statement in part reads;

“All workers are expected to be at their duty posts. Any worker who stays away from work will forfeit his or her pay as the ‘no-work-no-pay’ rule will be strictly enforced. All public schools and institutions are expected to remain open as school is in session. Heads of departments and parastatals are directed to keep records of workers’ attendance for further action".
