Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has appointed a General Overseer for the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria. According to the 74 year old clergyman, Pastor Joseph Obayemi, will oversee the affairs of the church here in Nigeria. Obayemi was deputy in charge of Finance and a member of governing council, before his appointment.

Adeboye made the announcement during the church’s annual thanksgiving held at the 3km new auditorium today 7th January 2016.

The shooter who left five dead and eight wounded  at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Friday has been identified as 26 year old, Esteban Santiago. An Iraq war veteran, who had been discharged from the Alaska Army National Guard last August for unsatisfactory performance.

The suspect, according to eye witnesses reportedly retrieved a gun from a checked bag, walked into the airport bathroom to load it, walked back out  and started shooting without saying a word.

Court orders forfeiture of former Petroleum Minister, Alison Diezani-Madueke’s allegedly stolen $153 million

Justice Muslim Hassan of a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the temporary forfeiture of the sum of $153,310,000, which former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueze, allegedly siphoned from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and stashed in three banks.

Justice Hassan gave the order while hearing an ex-parte application by the EFCC seeking the temporary forfeiture of the funds allegedly stolen by the former Minister.
