Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba, says that the elongation of President Buhari's vacation in the UK is not an indication that he is seriously ill. In an interview with Premium Times, Garba stated that Buhari is not very ill and also not hospitalized
"I just spoke to the president’s personal doctor, and he told me President Buhari is not in any serious condition as to worry about. He is not in hospital. He is in the residence at the Nigerian High Commission.

Cameroon beat Egypt to win AFCON 2017 title

Cameroon came from behind to beat Egypt 2-1 and seal a fifth Africa Cup of Nations in a thrilling, edgy final. Substitute Vincent Aboubakar swept in the winner two minutes from time, flicking the ball over defender Ali Gabr and thumping it home. Nicolas Nkoulou had earlier equalised for Cameroon, rising highest to power in a header on the hour mark.

The equaliser cancelled out Mohamed Elneny's opener on 22 minutes with a beautifully taken near-post strike.

A Kenyan woman has exposed a man who was caressing her thighs in a commercial vehicle while pretending he was sleeping.

The woman, who goes by Mishy Shawn Nimo on Facebook said, she wanted to wait until she disembarked from the vehicle but instead she decided to wake him up and pushed his hands away.

Alao was chased and arrested on Thursday afternoon during one of his routine operations in Oshodi after dispossessing their lone passenger of his two phones and the sum of N60,000:00.

Local hunters last Friday killed a hippopotamus that has been terrorizing residents of the riverine communities of Abaji and Kwali area council.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went head to head in a relay race this afternoon alongside Prince Harry as they turned out to support a training day for runners who are taking part in this year’s London Marathon.

Joined by around 150 runners, William, Kate and Harry competed against one-another for the 50 metre sprint. Competitive Kate tied her hair back as she pelted full throttle along side her husband during the 100m sprint which took part at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on Sunday.

A horrified mum has refused to breastfeed her baby after claiming the 'cursed' child was born looking like an 'alien'. Priyanka Kumari, 25, refused to nurse the deformed little girl after giving birth to her in India on Tuesday. The baby, who is yet to be named, has a huge growth on her head, is covered in a hardened shell of skin and has bulging eyes.

SERAP writes Donald Trump...demands return of Nigeria’s stolen assets

A civil society group, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has sent an open letter to the US President Donald J. Trump urging his “Administration to attach and release to Nigeria some $500 million worth of US-based proceeds of corruption traced to former Nigerian dictator General Sani Abacha.”

The organization said that, “these proceeds are separate from the $480 million of Abacha-origin funds that have been forfeited to the US under an August 2014 US federal district court order.
