Prince William and Kate Middleton outsprinted by Prince Harry as royals race for charity

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went head to head in a relay race this afternoon alongside Prince Harry as they turned out to support a training day for runners who are taking part in this year’s London Marathon.

Joined by around 150 runners, William, Kate and Harry competed against one-another for the 50 metre sprint. Competitive Kate tied her hair back as she pelted full throttle along side her husband during the 100m sprint which took part at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on Sunday.

Despite an impressive sprint, the Duchess and mom of two, 35, lost out to her brother in-law who came in first followed by Prince William who came second thanks to the encouragement of well-wishers from the sidelines.
The training day was organised for runners taking part in the marathon for Heads Together an umbrella organisation spearheaded by the three royals.

It aims to change the national conversation on mental well-being to a positive one, and is a partnership between eight charities that provide front-line mental health support.
