Mass shooting in a club in Athens, Georgia over the weekend leaves 3 injured

There was another mass shooting in the United States over the weekend but it was overshadowed by the Las Vegas shooting which had more casualties.

Three men were injured on Sunday morning inside Club Venom in Athens, Georgia when one of the patrons opened fire with a handgun.

Rock legend, Tom Petty dies of cardiac arrest at 66

Rock legend, Tom Petty died on Monday October 2, 2017 at the age of 66 after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, according to Tony Dimitriades, longtime manager of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

According to reports, at 10:45 pm Sunday night (PST), Tom Petty's wife called 911 to report that her husband wasn't breathing. When paramedics got to thier home, they gave him CPR and were able to get a slight pulse. They rushed him to the hospital where he was put on life support, unfortunately, he didnt make it and the machine was turned off.

Young woman unknowingly livestreams her murder while filming an argument between her neighbors

A young woman was shot on Wednesday, September 27 as she filmed a vicious fight between her two neighbours.

Mother-of-three Willyene Mathias Siqueira, 22, had been filming an argument going on between her neighbours on her cellphone. The neighbours, a husband and wife had started arguing in their home, then they took the fight out into the street in Santana de Cataguases, Brazil. The argument was reportedly resulting from a row about their children.

The suspected mastermind and killer of the 2006 winner of Gulder Ultimate search, Hector Jobarteh, Ismaila Adeyemi, was yesterday paraded before newsmen at the Lagos state police command. Hector was murdered at his home in Agege on September 3rd 2017.

While being paraded, Ismaila said himself and two other men identified as Nonso, KK and a lady who is currently on the run, had gone to rob at Hector's house. According to him, they trailed Hector to his home on September 3rd in Agege to steal from him but that one of his gang members, Nonso, shot Hector dead.

A Somali refugee who had been on a watch list over extremist views faces five counts of attempted murder and terror charges after he stabbed a police officer and ran down four pedestrians with a car in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on Saturday.

The suspect, a 30-year-old man identified as Abdulahi Hasan Sharif, by Canadian media,  had been investigated two years ago for promoting extremist ideology but was not deemed a threat, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said.

Poignant last post of 22-year-old Nigerian girl 3 months before her death "God knows I have a story to tell"

Sadly, she didn't live to tell her story. Ogbonna Jane Mmasichi, a 200 level  Entrepreneurial Studies student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike passed away last month after an illness. She was age 22. After she recovered from undisclosed illness in late June, she took to her Facebook page to thank God for healing Her.

"Its only by Gods grace am alive today,I can't thank him enough, He is a miraculous God, he heals wen Doctors are confused, God knws I have a story to tell." she wrote.
