Recently, I heard a rather interesting argument that asking God for money or say a house is stupid and an utter waste of your time and God's own as well. The person who shared this thought went on to argue that all you need is hard work.

Police in Thailand took a Muslim man to re-enact how he allegedly stabbed to death a mother and daughter before dumping their bodies near a bridge in Narathiwat’s Rangae district.

The suspect, Hasan Jehha was thought to be making a kind gesture when he agreed to shelter Bismee Sulong and her her five-year-old daughter, Nassarin Mana, for the night after the woman told him they were fleeing domestic abuse. Instead, he made sexual advances at the woman and allegedly killed them both when she refused him.

President Buhari edorses Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai's plan to sack 21, 780 teachers

President Buhari has endorsed plans by the Kaduna state government to sack of 21, 780 teachers that failed the competency test conducted in October this year. The teachers failed woefully in the primary four test questions set for them during the competency test. There has been a public outcry after the state government indicated that it would be dismissing the teachers that failed the competency test.

According to Francesca Joseph-Esenwa, the little girl in this photo sustained the injuries on her head after the madam threw her from their second-floor apartment. Luckily she survived but with deep cuts on her forehead and on the middle of her head.

Photos: Death toll in massive earthquake near Iran-Iraq border rises to 328 as tremors reach Turkey and UAE

No fewer than 328 people have died and more than 5,300 have been injured after a huge 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck near the Iran/Iraq border.

The quake was felt as far away as Turkey, Kuwait, Iran and the United Arab Emirates. The majority of those killed were from the town of Sarpol-e-Zahab in Iran's western Kermanshah province, Deputy Gov. Mojtaba Nikkerdar of Iran's Kermanshah province said. He also said more than 200 people suffered injuries.

Beautiful 22-year-old Tanzanian actress, Elizabeth Michael ‘Lulu’ has been sentenced by a Dar es Salaam court for the death of Steven Kanumba whom she was dating until his death. The ugly incident occurred on April 7th, 2012 when Lulu was 19 years old while Kanumba was 28 years.

Steven Kanumba who was a popular Tanzanian actor died after Lulu pushed him to the wall during an argument because of a call she allegedly received from another man.

World-Famous Russian basejumper falls to his death on Mount Ama-Dablam, Nepal

A renowned Russian basejumper has been killed in a horror plunge after leaping 22,000ft (7,000m) from a Himalayan mountain. Valery Rozov, 52, fell to his death in a tragic wingsuit accident on Mount Ama-Dablam, eastern Nepal.

The extreme sportsman held the record for the highest ever basejump from an altitude of 25,200ft from Tibet's Mount Cho-Oyu last year.

He smashed into a cliff during his latest stunt and leaves behind a wife and sons.

Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, spends N208million to buy noodles, beverages, others to empower tea sellers in the state

Over the weekend, Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, carried out an empowerment programme for tea sellers otherwise known as Masu Shayi in the state. While delivering a speech at the empowerment programme held in the state capital, Governor Ganduje, told guests at the ceremony that his administration spent N208 million to buy Noodles, Tea, Kettles, Beverages, liquid and powdered milk, baskets, cups, nylon bags, spaghetti, and other materials needed by the 5,200 Masu Shayi (tea sellers) that were empowered.

One man killed, 5 others injured in shooting after a funeral in New Orleans

One man has been killed while five others were injured in a shooting at a funeral party, in the area of Forstall Street and Burgandy street, a New Orleans neighborhood. The police said a crowd of 300 people were in the 5200 block of Burgundy when several gunshots were fired.

New Orleans Police said the shooting took place around 8pm Saturday in an area where a large crowd gathered. Police said five males and a woman were found on the street and sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds to the body. The five who were shot had injuries that were not life threatening.
