Brazilian couple finally have wedding pictures taken 60 years after their wedding

A couple who did not get the chance to take photos on their wedding day have remedied the situation 60 years after they got married.

Dona Rosa and Seu Russo got married in 1957 in a modest affair which took place in a relative's yard. For the wedding, Rosa’s godmother made her dress and an aunt made the cake after which the family gathered around to celebrate the union. The affair was so simple that they did not employ the services of a photographer.

The couple had no photo of their magical day but all that changed 60 years later, when a collective of creatives in São Paulo, Brazil, teamed up to help the couple recreate their wedding day.
The couple, who have nine children, 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, relived their wedding in a beautiful outdoor setting, surrounded by vintage furniture and fairy lights. This time, there was a photographer and videographer on hand to capture the special day.

Photographer Dávid from Sao Paulo Fotografia took candid photos of the couple showing they are still very much in love.  David’s partner Vivian shot video footage of the wedding, while the bride’s dress, groom’s suit, decorations, bouquet, and space were all supplied by other local businesses.
