Dangote, Honeywell, and BUA groups to repair Apapa port as part of their corporate social responsibilty

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that Dangote Group, Honeywell Group, and BUA Group will repair Apapa port as part of their corporate social responsibility, CSR.

"Dangote Group will carry out palliative works and reconstruction of some major sections of Apapa road; completion by June/July 2018," the official Twitter account of the Federal Government of Nigeria tweeted.

It went on to reveal that "Honeywell Group will construct Trailer Park" and "BUA Group will carry out construction works on Tin Can road".
Dangote stated on Tuesday that work will finally commence next week on the Apapa Oworonshoki expressway. His announcement comes after the stakeholders meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Dangote said: "We will start work next week. The bidding process is going to go on where four, five contractors will bid, anybody that wins the contract we will fund the project under the agreement that we have.”

Everything including, the project design has been handed over to the contractors, BusinessDay reports.
