The reproductive organs of a 12-year-old maid have been damaged after she was tortured and mutilated by her employer.

Faith Nwanja was tortured by Mrs Nkechi Bartholomew for being too stubborn. The torture left her with damaged organs and in need of plastic surgery. The girl, who hails from Okoffia community in Ezza South Local Government Area in Ebonyi state, Nigeria, was tortured, mutilated, then eventually abandoned by her madam.

21 wedding guests die in India road accident

Police in India confirm that 21 members of a group travelling to a wedding in central India were killed when the small truck in which they were travelling fell off a bridge into a dry river bed today. 

Senior administration official Dilip Kumar said at least 29 others were injured in the accident late Tuesday in Madhya Pradesh state’s Sidhi district. Kumar said the victims, mostly family and friends of the groom, were travelling to the wedding in Pamaria village when their mini-truck swerved off the Jogdaha bridge and fell about 50 to 60 feet down into the Sone river bed.

Court remands cultist who allegedly stabbed neighbour to death over a gay man in Lagos state

An Ikeja High Court, Lagos has remanded an alleged member of Aiye Cult group, Adebayo Ahmed in prison custody for allegedly stabbing his neighbour to death over a gay man.

According to reports, 24-year old Ahmed stabbed one Samuel Owawu to death with a broken bottle over a phone belonging to a gay friend of the deceased. Lagos State Prosecuting officer, Monisola Oshibogun said the incident occured on the January 16, 2016 at Oyemekun Bus stop, in Ifako Ijaiye, a suburb of Lagos.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Abayomi Shogunle has revealed that pepper spray is an offensive weapon in Nigeria. He made the revelation after a Twitter user tweeted at him saying she has been detained for carrying a pepper spray. He responded to the tweet saying;

What are you doing with a pepper spray? Pepper spray is an offensive weapon, Nigeria  Law prohibits going armed in the public.

James Penlidis, who lives in the Melbourne suburb of Bentleigh, painted his house in the nude and rode an exercise bike naked in his garden as a means of protest. James said the house being built next door to his was an invasion of his privacy, so he decided to give them "something to look at".

23-year-old man believes painkillers turned him gay

A man is claiming he turned gay as a result of painkillers he's been taking. Scott Purdy, 23, never had interest in men, and only dated women. He even had a girlfriend. But he started taking painkillers after breaking his foot while go-karting and quickly lost his sexual attraction to women. He broke up with his girlfriend of six months and said that he had developed an attraction to men.

Facebook spent more than $8.8m on CEO Mark Zuckerberg's security and personal travel last year

A proxy statement revealed that social media giant, Facebook spent more than $8.8million last year on CEO Mark Zuckerberg's security and personal travel just last year.

Zuckerberg's travel expenses and security detail were included in a report for the United States Security and Exchange Commission before the company's annual shareholders meeting next month. The report showed that $8.8million was used for Zuckerberg's travel and security in 2017 alone. That was on top of the $1 Zuckerberg earned as his salary for the year.

Nigerian Air Force acquires six new helicopters to combat Boko Haram

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says it has acquired six brand new helicopters, to reinvigorate the nation’s air power. Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, who made the disclosure in Abuja, said this was the first time in about 18 years that the NAF will be making such acquisition.

Abubakar made the disclosure at the “winging” ceremony of 12 pilots, who will be deployed to boost the air component of Operation Lafiya Dole in the North-East, and other internal security operations across the country.  “This is the first time in about 18 years that we are acquiring six brand new helicopters for the air force,” the CAS said.

Two blood sisters, Ngozi Nnabude and Uchenna Agagwaonye have been arrested by the Lagos police command for blackmailing a reverend sister, Mary Okolo who is the head teacher at Handmaids International Catholic School, Aguda with a sex tape she made with a priest.

Speaking during the press briefing, the commissioner of police, Imohimi Edgal said that Agagwaonye,  who teaches Primary four pupils in the school was frustrated by the reverend sister's alleged wickedness and then solicited her sister to send a blackmail text, threatening to expose the reverend sister's sex tape.

Four police officers were killed and about 11 others are still missing after some gunmen, laid an ambush on police officers in Benue State on Sunday, April 15.

Theresa May appeals to Buhari to legalize same sex marriage

British Prime Minister, Theresa May, has appealed to President Buhari and other leaders of Commonwealth nations to legalise same sex marriage in their countries. May made the appeal while speaking at the first joint forum at the ongoing Commonwealth Head of Government Meetings in Westminster today April 17th.

May asked President Buhari and other leaders of the Commonwealth nations to rescind every law that discriminates against same-sex relationships. She regretted that some of the laws actually originated from Britain.

Rare gold case containing the 'heart' of the only woman to ever be crowned queen of France has been stolen

According to The Telegraph daily, a 16th-century gold case containing the heart of the only woman to be crowned queen of France twice has been stolen. 

The British newspaper said that the 15.24-cm oval reliquary containing the heart of Anne of Brittany was stolen by robbers, who broke in through a window of the Thomas-Dobree Museum in the western French city of Nantes over the weekend.

Police arrest female suicide bomber in Maiduguri state (photo)

On Tuesday, the Borno  Police Command confirmed the arrest of a female suicide bomber at the Bakassi Internally Displaced (IDPs) camp in Maiduguri. 

According to a statement by Edet Okon, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), in Maiduguri, the suicide bomber was arrested by men of the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team, on Tuesday at about 6: 50 a.m. while lurking around the Internally Displaced Persons  (IDPs) camp.

The announcement was made in a letter sent to Keyamo which was signed by the organization's director general, Rotimi Amaechi. The letter reads

Hilarious video: Man gets stuck inside sex doll and calls police
