How to Make a Guy Fall in Love with You

For many women in relationships, the question of the day might be how to make a guy fall in love with you. Whether your guy is shy or simply like’s things the way they are…as friends, you may be able to give him a little push towards a more serious relationship with the following tips.

How to Make a Guy Fall in Love with You
Before you jump headfirst into the project of how to make a guy fall in love with you, remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day. While you may be ready to declare your love, your sweetie may need a few subtle reminders regarding the benefits of being in a true, romantic relationship. Remember, you may have dreamed of your prince charming since you were just a little girl, but the man in your life may not have been so focused on falling in love. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life with you. It may just mean that time isn’t an issue right now. He may just be enjoying your company and friendship, but friendship can turn into love, and a relationship that starts out slowly may last forever.
Mind Readers
One of the biggest relationship problems among couples involves communication…or lack ofcommunication. While you may be dreaming of hearing those three little words, your man may think he is perfectly fine with the status quo. Although you may not want to be the first one to shout “I love you”, you can let him know how you feel about him in more subtle ways. Once he realizes that you are looking towards a future that involves love, commitment, and maybe even marriage, his mind may begin to look at things differently, too. You may have fallen in love on your first date, but the dating game involves all sorts of hidden innuendos and subtleties that eventually lead to a long-term commitment. Communication is key to developing those first feelings and thoughts, so don’t expect your significant other to be a mind reader!
· Tell him how important he is to you.
· Don’t be afraid to talk about your dreams for the future.
· Point out how great your relationship really is…use specific examples.
· Let him know the real you…good and bad, and encourage him to show you all of hisqualities as well.
· Play up the interests that you both have in common, such as golf, cooking, reading, hiking, etc.

Don’t Apply Pressure
Sometimes people make the mistake of wanting something so badly that they go overboard by pressuring those around them to give them what they desire. This is definitely not how to make a guy fall in love with you! If all you talk about is love and commitment, and he never seems to mention it, you may be applying too much pressure, and it’s time to back off! You can’t force the issue, and if you try, he may run the other way! Instead, continue enjoying the relationship you have together while at the same time looking for ways to subtly point out why you should stay together forever. Show your love and desire for him without boxing him into a corner. Don’t demand, don’t ask for promises, and don’t try to pin him down.
Influences
It may be hard for your guy to get use to the idea of settling down into a serious relationship if he continues to spend a huge amount of time with his footloose and fancy-free, single friends. No, you can’t forbid him from seeing his friends, but you can offer some great alternatives. Although you may have a hidden cause in mind, he may not realize it. You can’t cut him off from his friends, but you can encourage him to spend time with you and other happily in-love couples. As your guy watches these couples in action, he may begin to see that a serious relationship could be a good thing. Be sure you don’t try to force him to give up his other friendships, however. Under no circumstances do you want to appear controlling!
Spend Time Together
Healthy relationships involve a happy mix of spending time together and maintaining personal space, too. You don’t have to be with your guy 24/7 to help him see what a great team the two of you makes. You can find ways to spend quality time with him, however, and by doing so, you may actually be creating some great “falling in love” opportunities!
· Schedule weekend getaways.
· Plan romantic dinners.
· Create impromptu romantic moments.
· Do small, special things for him.

However, remember that the focus of these one-on-one times should not be all about himfalling in love with you. If this is your primary motivation, maybe you need to reevaluate what you really need. The together times should be about just that…being together.
Ultimatums
Finally, ultimatums almost never work, and for most people, they backfire. Before you issue an ultimatum, you should be prepared for following up on your promise of action. Otherwise, you’ve lost all the leverage you might have had. With that said, however, if a serious relationship is really what you want, and your guy simply doesn’t want it, it may be time to cut the ties that bind and move on with your life. Somewhere out there is someone who will share your desire for that loving commitment, but you’ll never find him if you aren’t willing to take that risk.
