The fraudster started out by commenting on the author's photo on Instagram and asked her to check her DM. When she checked, she saw messages from @Diddy.02, but she suspected that the guy was African and she was right.
He claimed he created the account strictly for direct messages, then went on to ask author Passport Cutty to donate money to his charity so they can build orphanages in Africa. He went further to promise to introduce the author to Jay Z and Drake, who he claimed are all members of his team.
The author of The M in Man is for Money played along and even asked for account details to send the money to. He gave her an account with the name Adewale Samuel and an address on Isaac John street Ikeja, Lagos.
